The core Vista client is not a lightweight SaaS tab. Trimble’s current requirements specify Windows workstations, Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, .NET, and reporting dependencies for a self-hosted environment; Trimble also offers a hosted deployment in which it manages installation and upgrades. The same depth that makes Vista valuable raises the adoption burden.
