Connecteam is workforce management software for deskless teams, with free plans and paid Operations, Communications, and HR hubs from $29/month.
Connecteam is workforce management software for businesses whose employees work away from desks. The platform brings together job and shift scheduling, GPS time tracking, digital tasks and forms, internal communication, training, and employee administration in a mobile-first system. Connecteam’s current product and pricing structure separates those capabilities into three hubs: Operations, Communications, and HR & Skills.
That breadth makes Connecteam relevant to field-service businesses, but it also defines the product’s boundary. The field-services product page emphasizes dispatching jobs, live employee location, work information, digital forms, checklists, communication, and payroll-ready time records. It does not position Connecteam as the financial system for customer estimates, invoices, payments, service agreements, or job profitability. Buyers should therefore evaluate it as a workforce operations layer, not assume it replaces a complete field service management or accounting platform.
The best fit is a business trying to replace a mix of paper schedules, group chats, time sheets, training documents, and basic task apps. Connecteam is particularly compelling for very small teams because its Small Business Plan provides all three hubs at no cost for up to 10 users. Larger buyers need to model the hubs separately, since a paid subscription to one hub does not automatically include the full paid feature set of the other two.
The current public brand is simply Connecteam. The company’s terms of service identify the legal service provider as Mobilesson Ltd., doing business as Connecteam. Connecteam’s company overview says Amir Nehemia, Daniel Nuriel, and Yonatan Nuriel founded the business in 2016.
Connecteam’s current LinkedIn company profile lists New York, New York as its headquarters and classifies the company as privately held. The same profile describes the business as backed by more than $220 million from Insight Partners, Stripes, Tiger Global, and other investors. There is no parent-company rebrand to account for in the profile: Connecteam remains the product and customer-facing company name, while Mobilesson Ltd. is the legal entity named in the service terms.
Connecteam publishes pricing, but the headline needs context because each hub is sold separately. On the current pricing page, the Small Business Plan is free for life for up to 10 users and includes all hubs and nearly all features. Every new account also starts with a 14-day trial of the higher-end capabilities without requiring a credit card.
For teams beyond the Small Business Plan, each of the three hubs has its own Basic, Advanced, Expert, and custom Enterprise tier. Annual-equivalent pricing for the first 30 users is:
Monthly billing raises those published first-30-user prices to $35, $59, and $119 per hub. Connecteam also publishes per-user charges above 30 users, with the amount depending on both the selected hub and tier. A buyer taking all three hubs at the same tier should therefore multiply the hub price: all three Basic hubs cost $87 per month on annual billing, while all three Expert hubs cost $297 per month before any charges for users above 30.
Connecteam also offers a free Limited plan for organizations with up to 30 users after the trial, but it includes only the essentials of each hub. This distinction matters in comparisons: “free for up to 10” refers to the broad Small Business Plan, while “free for up to 30” refers to the more restricted Limited plan.
The pricing model is attractive when a company needs one hub or can use the Small Business Plan. It is less simple when a team wants advanced scheduling, communications, and HR together. The independent Forbes Advisor review similarly praises the free plan and broad employee-management feature set while flagging upgrade pressure and the potential cost for teams that need more features.
Connecteam’s feature set follows its three-hub architecture.
The Operations Hub contains the employee time clock, job scheduling, forms and checklists, and quick tasks. According to the official pricing matrix and field-services page, teams can schedule shifts and jobs, add locations and work instructions, manage availability and open shifts, assign tasks, collect signed or photo-supported forms, and turn recorded time into payroll-ready digital timesheets.
Location controls are an important part of the product. Connecteam supports GPS stamps, geofences, and its Breadcrumbs feature for live routes while an employee is clocked in. Its pricing FAQ states that Connecteam does not process or document the employee’s location after clock-out. Because location tracking affects workforce privacy and labor compliance, buyers should still define a written policy, configure the feature deliberately, and verify local requirements before rollout.
The Communications Hub groups employee chat, company updates, a directory, surveys, events, a knowledge base, and an internal help desk. This is where Connecteam goes beyond basic scheduling software: shift-based and distributed teams can receive announcements, find colleagues, access operating documents, and keep work conversations inside the same app used for schedules and tasks.
The value is consolidation, but it requires governance. Chat, feed updates, events, tasks, and alerts can create notification noise if administrators activate everything without clear channel rules. The independent Forbes Advisor review describes the interface as friendly and highly customizable while warning that feature access can require frequent upgrades and that some users report occasional lag or app freezing.
The HR & Skills Hub includes hiring and onboarding, courses, quizzes, employee documents and e-signatures, time-off management, recognition, rewards, celebrations, employee timelines, and an organizational chart. This makes Connecteam more comprehensive than a time-clock-and-scheduler product, especially for employers that need to distribute training and policy documents to workers without corporate email or regular desktop access.
Capabilities vary by tier. The pricing comparison places more extensive e-signature allowances, time-off policies, course controls, document permissions, API access, SSO, 2FA, and other governance features in Advanced, Expert, or Enterprise plans. Buyers should map required controls to the plan matrix rather than treating the feature name alone as proof it is included at the entry tier.
Connecteam’s current integration guide is strongest around payroll and employee data. Named connections include ADP Workforce Now, Gusto, QuickBooks Online, Paychex, BambooHR, PrismHR, MYOB, and regional Xero products. The guide also lists point-of-sale or shift connections involving Lightspeed Restaurant, Square, and Wix, plus payroll export templates for QuickBooks Desktop and ADP products.
For custom workflows, Connecteam documents API keys, a Zapier connection, webhooks, and OAuth 2.0. API availability is plan-dependent: the public pricing matrix puts API access and webhook management in Expert and Enterprise tiers for the major hubs. Integration buyers should verify the exact direction and objects supported by each connector. A payroll export or user sync is not the same as a broad bidirectional accounting, CRM, or work-order integration.
Connecteam’s industries directory lists a wide set of deskless sectors, including construction, cleaning, security, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, food and beverage, field services, transportation, home care, logistics, property management, pest control, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work.
The common denominator is the workforce model, not a highly specialized trade workflow. Connecteam fits industries where employees work in shifts, travel between sites, need mobile instructions, complete repeatable checklists, or lack company email. That horizontal design is useful for multi-service employers, but buyers with deep asset histories, preventive maintenance logic, inspection-code workflows, or customer billing requirements should compare Connecteam with a vertical FSM or CMMS product rather than expecting configuration alone to create those systems.
Pick Connecteam when the operational problem is coordinating deskless people: building schedules, knowing who is working and where, assigning tasks, replacing paper forms, distributing procedures, communicating with teams, and preparing accurate hours for payroll. It is especially attractive for organizations with 10 or fewer employees, since they can test a broad feature set without subscription cost.
It also makes sense for larger field organizations that already have accounting, CRM, or vertical service software but lack a usable employee layer. In that architecture, Connecteam can own schedules, time, forms, communication, and training while specialist systems continue to own customer and financial records. Confirm integration depth before assuming data will move automatically between those layers.
Do not pick Connecteam as the sole platform if your primary requirement is a full customer-to-cash service workflow. Businesses that need estimates, pricebooks, service agreements, invoicing, payments, detailed job costing, asset service history, or sophisticated route optimization should evaluate a complete FSM platform first. Connecteam may still complement that system, but the overlap should be mapped carefully to avoid duplicate schedules, work records, or employee data.
