Field Service Software Consultant
Description
Field Service Software IO seeks a client-facing consultant to lead requirements discovery, software evaluations, and ROI modelling for contractors and service organizations adopting new Field Service Management (FSM) or field-ready ERP platforms. You’ll translate operational pain points into clear system requirements, run structured vendor comparisons, and guide customers through selection and early-stage implementation planning
Responsibilities
- Facilitate on-site or virtual workshops to capture business processes, KPIs, and integration needs
- Build side-by-side comparisons of leading FSM and ERP solutions, including TCO and payback analyses
- Prepare executive-level recommendation decks and present findings to C-suite stakeholders
- Collaborate with Solution Architects on high-level design and implementation roadmaps
- Provide light project-management oversight during software pilots or proof-of-concept phases
- Contribute thought-leadership articles and tool reviews for FieldServiceSoftware.io
Qualifications
- 5+ years consulting or solution-design experience in field service, construction, utilities, or similar industries
- Deep knowledge of at least two major FSM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service, ServiceTitan, Simpro) and one ERP suite
- Proven ability to develop ROI/TCO models and articulate business value to executives
- Strong workshop facilitation, technical writing, and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- PMP, Prosci, or comparable certification is an asset
